distraction (and the end)

In the fall of 2008 I started this comic. At the time I had set the goal of doing 40 comics over 8 months.  (Years before when I first thought about doing a comic I planned on having it run every day. Actually trying to write and draw a comic made me scale back that idea.)  At the end of the first year I still had ideas so I decided to keep going.  So I did. However over the years my output has dropped and I gained more things to occupy my time.  I haven't really worked on the comic in quite awhile so even though I still have ideas I think the time is right to officially end it.

It's been almost 6 years and I've done 105 comics.  In that time my drawing has improved slightly but not as much as I'd hoped. There are ideas I couldn't figure out how to squeeze (or stretch) into four panels. There are story lines I didn't get to because they would involve drawing skills I don't have. I originally planned to follow the main characters through college instead they never got out of freshman year.  On the bright side I never made anyone a secret agent or used the strip to shill t-shirts.

I had fun drawing Life 101 over the years.  I hope you've enjoyed reading it. (Sometimes I worry the sense of humor is a little too idiosyncratic.)  I've enjoyed reading the comments.  This has definitely been a learning experience.  Thanks for coming along for the ride.
